"Jake is amazing. Thank you for suggesting him!
The parents and students loved him. I called ... and said we need somebody, badly. You said Jake is perfect. You were right!"

Jake Sharon is an extreme geek! He jumps out of airplanes, climbs mountains, bicycles long-distances, but he's still too chicken to talk to a girl. His off-the-cuff silliness he has honed as an improv actor, coupled with his offbeat, razor sharp wit, have made him a favorite on stages across the country.

Jake is kind of a dufus. He was once demoted at Blockbuster!

Jake is a small-town Colorado guy who went to college in Nebraska. He regales audiences with his stories of his potato gun launches, pulling pranks, and skinny-dipping- all while working campus security. He talks about breaking the law-despite being the son of a police chief. He's just a big fat bowl of irony.

Jake went to school for videography. Despite being a longhair, he spent over a decade doing video work for the National Cattlemen's Beef Association. He was always the lone longhair during the shoots. One cowboy told him "I didn't think I was going to like you, but you're okay!"

His regular contact with down-to-earth people, fused with his rebel-geek attitude, makes him the kind of guy who causes trouble for the right reasons. That also makes him like-able to all kinds of audiences.

Jake moved back to Denver where he is a regular at Comedy Works. He is known there for his appearances on KBPI's Uncle Nasty show as "Jesus of Denver." You can download his weekly Jesus of Denver Podcast, as featured on iTunes.

As far as his comedy career goes, Jake has done well. He was featured twice in the Boston Comedy Festival. He took first place in the Starz/ Jumpcut Stand-up contest. He won the 2007 Wits End "Survival of The Wittiest" comedy contest. He appeared in an ESPN pre-Super Bowl spot for the NFL. USA Network made him a finalist in their "Show Us Your Character" contest! He also appeared on the WB's Elimidate- where he was rejected.

Overall, Jake's geeky/ insightful commentary on everything from relationships, to the economy, to cattle, to his gremlin-esque pranks, will make him your favorite too. Hooray!
